| Course contents : | First, we study internal labour market characteristics highlighting the role of institutions; second, we describe the consequences of individuals and firms behaviour on aggregated employment; and finally we analyze the macroeconomic adjustment mechanisms at work. | Course objective : | To familiarize the student with theories that explain market equilibrium, mainly unemployment and inflation, given a particular attention to the role played by bargaining and information process among workers and managers at the firmsÂ’ level. | ||||||||

| Workshops : | Weekly chapter questionnaire and presentation of selected papers. | ||||||||

| Organization : | The course is organized during the second semester, on Tuesday from 15:30 to 17:30 hours. Each week we start with a short reading examination on the day chapter. Some sessions are devoted to seminars on selected papers presented by students. | ||||||||
